I hope that the Holy Spirit will guide the Fathers in the way of truth but when you look at our recent history perhaps it is not surprising that doubts remain. I question why the Holy Spirit has allowed such liberalism recently. Is it perhaps that we are being put to the test?David O'Neillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04023042558615821880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-641832955811669058.post-79583669134778256012015-09-01T02:40:27.183+01:002015-09-01T02:40:27.183+01:00Furthermore, the Synod hirelings should be reminde...Furthermore, the Synod hirelings should be reminded that communion in holiness cannot be brought about through pastoral dexterity but through sacrifice.Gregkangahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11701337405994375544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-641832955811669058.post-89782292574485303372015-08-31T21:59:56.852+01:002015-08-31T21:59:56.852+01:00I hope and pray that your faith in the Truth winni...I hope and pray that your faith in the Truth winning out comes to fruition, Fr Dickson.

I must confess, however, to having a nasty nagging doubt in my mind that only an ambiguous compromise will be achieved, with every bishops' conference being given leeway to interpret the outcome of the Synod as they see fit. The year of (false) mercy will then take care of the rest and the Church will be plunged into chaos - again.

Needless to say, I will be absolutely delighted if my miserabilist fears are proven wrong.Deacon Augustinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03549825303646357455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-641832955811669058.post-65501788170635249612015-08-31T13:37:46.074+01:002015-08-31T13:37:46.074+01:00Well written once again Fr Gary! They have made their choice to follow and serve Christ and his Bride. When at the Synod they should remember that much will be asked of those to whom much has been given. More will be expected of them, because they were entrusted with more.Gregkangahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11701337405994375544noreply@blogger.com
